Ken Jee
Head of Data Science
Ken leads and implements the quantitative tooling and infrastructure at SCOUTS. His focus is on applying the most practical tools and techniques to the unique challenges that sports teams face. Ken oversees data science, machine learning, data engineering, and data strategy.
Ken has previously worked in data science and project ownership in Fortune 100 companies as well as startups. He started his career as a management consultant specializing in the software development lifecycle and project management.
Ken has an M.S. in Computer Science with a concentration in Machine Learning from DePaul University, an M.S. in Commerce from the University of Virginia, and a B.S. in Economics from Towson University, where he played on its Division I golf team.
Ken has a YouTube channel with over 250,000 subscribers, where he provides education on the data science domain. He hosts the Ken’s Nearest Neighbors podcast, where he interviews data scientists and data-adjacent guests about how the field is transforming. He also hosts the Exponential Athlete podcast where he studies what separates the greatest athletes of all time from their competition.
Ken is based out of Austin, TX, and spends his free time playing golf, fly fishing, and training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
